Konami's buggy Silent Hill HD Collection has finally recieved a patch on PlayStation 3.
The update fixes a number of problems with the original release, which Konami admitted was based on incomplete code.
PS3 players can nab the download now, Silent Hill producer Tomm Hulett wrote on the Silent Hill Community forums.
It improves the game's framerate, voice-synching and fog density issues.
Audio problems such as missing music and sounds have also been addressed, among other minor audio/visual improvements.
'We got all the source code that Konami had on file - which it turns out wasn't the final release version of the games!' Hulett previously explained. 'During debug we didn't just have to deal with the expected 'porting' bugs, but also had to squash some bugs that the original team obviously removed prior to release, but we'd never seen before.'
'I think at one point [Silent Hill 3 protagonist] Heather was blue.'
An Xbox 360 version of the patch has yet to be announced.
Johnny Minkley dished out a sour 5/10 in Eurogamer's Silent Hill HD Collection review. 'I can see why some fans will hate the way this collection has been handled. And I can also see how much there is for newcomers to enjoy. As a standard for HD remasters, it really isn't good enough.'
